More Countries Being Given Access To Google Play Games On PC Program

Beta testing for the Google Play Games on PC program is expanding to Australia and Thailand. This comes after testing was launched in select regions back in March.

This is the first expansion of Google’s beta testing. A regional availability list published by Google said that the program was originally launched in Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan. Now, Australia and Thailand have been added to this list.

“With Google Play Games, you can play mobile games on your Windows computer,” the support page says. “When you play games on your PC, you’ll get a larger screen with better graphics and you can use a keyboard and mouse. Whether you play your game on a computer or mobile device, progress stays synchronized. You still earn Play Points. Because Google Play Games on PC is in beta phase, you need to join the waitlist to get access.”

If you are interested, you can signup for the beta’s waitlist now. Although, users must make sure they can fulfill the hardware requirements for the program which are listed below.

  • Windows 10 (v2004)
  • Solid state drive (SSD)
  • 20 GB of available storage space
  • Gaming-class GPU
  • 8 logical CPU cores
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Windows admin account
  • Hardware virtualization must be turned on
  • Compatible PC device and configuration
