OpTic Gaming’s Future In VALORANT Looks Murky

OpTic Gaming’s future in competitive VALORANT is somewhat unclear, given that two of the team’s core members’ contracts are set to expire in less than two months. Victor Wong’s and Austin “crashies” Roberts’ contracts are up in September following the VCT Champions, which OpTic will be taking part in.

Once the duo’s contracts are up, the organization will likely try to re-sign them, but of course it takes two (or three in this case) to tango.

OpTic is currently looking to earn qualification for partnership in the Americas league next year if they want to continue competing at the highest level. It’s believed that their selection will be a big factor in their ability to re-sign Wong and Roberts, whose futures will hang in limbo if the organization is not selected to join.
