Microsoft Wants To Make A Game Pass Bundle For Families

On August 4th, Microsoft began testing an Xbox Game Pass Family Plan in both Ireland and Columbia. At this time, the package is only available to select Xbox Insider testing rings.

All eligible customers in these two countries will be able to access the family plan by purchasing the Xbox Game Pass Insider Preview bundle. Once done, that will allow holders to invite up to four other people to share the membership with.

And, the plan has some benefits for you testers that already had a subscription beforehand. If you sign up for the plan with a pre-existing Game Pass membership, then your time with the subscription will be converted into the new plan. As Windows Central puts it, a person that has had an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership for one month will have their time converted into eighteen days of the Family plan.

This makes it even easier to play the best Game Pass games with friends and family across console, PC, and cloud by enabling you to add up to four people to your subscription, all with their own unique access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, content, and benefits,” said Tyler Mittleider, the senior technical program manager of Xbox.

Microsoft has been putting a lot of energy and effort into Game Pass as of late. And, so far, it’s paid off. As of January, over 25 million people have signed up for an Xbox Game Pass Subscription.
