On August 12th, Metfone and Mineski Global signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to aid the development of esports in Cambodia. This is the first and largest esports collaboration in the history of the country.
This agreement is expected to do wonders for the development of esports in Cambodia. Moreover, this MoU will support the professionalization of esports within the kingdom.
Mineski will provide esports solutions to Gen Zers in Cambodia. The hope is that Metfone will become the core choice for mobile gaming experiences in the country.
“Metfone provides a variety of telecommunications-digital technology services to promote the digital life for Cambodian society, with e-sports one of the mainstream products in the digital ecosystem that Metfone is currently focusing on,” said Metfone’s general director, Phung Van Cuong. “As a leading company in the telecommunications industry, Metfone – as is shown by the signing of this MoU – is making concerted efforts to develop the e-sports field professionally and comprehensively.”
