Scottish Soccer Powerhouse Signs Partnership With EA Sports

On August 23rd, the Rangers F.C. Scottish soccer club announced it signed a multi-year agreement with EA Sports. As a result, the soccer team will license its IP to EA Sports so that the organization’s stadium, club, and players appear in the upcoming simulation game FIFA 23.

This partnership will also cover EA Sports’ rebranded product coming out the year after FIFA 23, EA Sports FC. Moreover, EA Sports will be the official gaming partner of Rangers F.C., with the club set to host a number of esports activations in the coming months both locally and internationally.

This deal will also see EA Sports’ branding prominently displayed throughout Ibrox Stadium, the home arena of the team. Additionally, the brand will be integrated across all of the Rangers’ digital platforms.

“This is a truly exciting partnership for the club, and I think it speaks volumes for the standing Rangers has on the international stage that such a recognizable brand like EA SPORTS FIFA were so eager to enter into a partnership with the club,” said James Bisgrove, the Rangers’ Commercial and Marketing Director. “The world of esports is growing at unprecedented levels, and this partnership will allow us to fully enter this space with a meaningful strategy and strong partner in the sector.”
