Riot Games recently announced it will serve as the official headline gaming sponsor of Gamer Girls Night In (GGNI), the UK’s first event for women and non-binary individuals that combines gaming, fashion, and beauty. The second edition of GGNI was held at Samsung KX in London, England on August 21st.
Gamer Girls Night In was presented by the UK’s NNESAGA as well as the Black Girl Gamers online community. This event was designed as a safe space for women and non-binary people to “network, celebrate and promote diversity within the industry, exchange experiences and have fun.”
As part of Riot Games’ sponsorship, VALORANT was available to play for all GGNI attendees. Additionally, the event featured a hair styling booth that offered guests a chance to receive a hairstyle inspired by Astra, one of the main characters in VALORANT.
A panel discussion was also held during GGNI 2022 covering the future of branding in the video game industry. There was also an open bar, live music, beauty bars, and a photo booth for all those in attendance to enjoy.
