Earlier this month, Krafton released its financial results for the third quarter of 2022. This report showed that Krafton continues to be a dominant force in the world of video games.
The Korean publisher said that revenues rose by 2% from Q2 to Q3. On top of that, net profits rose by 17% quarter-over-quarter. Year-on-year, net profits have gone up 27% when compared to Q3 2021.
PUBG also experienced explosive growth on PCs. The game saw quarter-over-quarter revenues increase by almost 48%, breaking a record previously set in 2019.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all good news. PUBG Mobile saw sales drop by 12% from the second quarter to the third quarter of this year. On top of that, the mobile game’s overall revenues took a “significant dip” according to Pocket Gamer.biz.
The gaming giant also announced plans to continue making a push in the Indian market. In fact, the company said that it is making an effort “to resume services for Battlegrounds Mobile India,” and that it will “continue investing in the Indian games market.”
