A recent study shows that most Indian parents support their children playing online video games (with certain types of restrictions). According to the research done by Yourdost, 61% of parents believe online gaming is beneficial for kids. Furthermore, 60% feel online gaming is a good way to combat stress.
The study, which was performed by health solutions company Yourdost, aimed to understand how Indian parents feel about children’s gaming. The study reportedly involved 429 parents.
The study also shows that 65% of parents have played video games themselves. Furthermore, 48% of parents surveyed feel gaming is a great way for children to improve social skills.
This research wasn’t all positive though. 88% of parents in the study feel gaming can be addictive. On top of that, 79% of adults believe gaming can be detrimental to academic studies.
