Guild Esports made headlines recently after the organization announced it was entering a new sponsorship deal with fast-food restaurant Subway. As part of the multi-million dollar sponsorship, Subway will now serve as Guild Esports’ official “quick-service restaurant partner” in over 50 markets across the globe.
“At Subway, we have been looking at different ways to connect with younger audiences, but wanted to do so authentically, with more than just a logo,” said Louise Wardle, the Vice President of Marketing EMEA at Subway. “We’re thrilled to be partnered with Guild Esports, which goes far beyond the typical esports company. Its world-first Academy is completely unique, offering the opportunity for young gamers to harness their passions, build skills and fulfill their dreams. By also collaborating with lifestyle and entertainment stars, Guild appeals to gamers and fans alike. This grassroots partnership will therefore connect a globally responsible brand with young people across EMEA.”
This new deal is expected to last two years. Guild Esports is the first organization to sign an EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) sponsorship deal with Subway. At this time, the precise financial details behind the agreement have not been disclosed.
