VSU And Richmond Raceway Partner For Esports Program

Virginia State University and Richmond Raceway have announced a new partnership. As part of the deal, NASCAR will hire a VSU student intern to manage the simulated racing program. Other VSU students will be brought on to work on marketing, graphic design, event coordination, and team operations.

Brandon Thompson is the vice president for diversity and inclusion at NASCAR. he said, “as NASCAR continues to strengthen its diversity and inclusion platform, partnerships with schools like Virginia State University will exemplify our creative approach to reach the next generation of sports leaders.”

Richmond Raceway currently sponsors two drivers for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola Series. Jimmy Mullis and Zack Novak both competed in the event in 2020.
