John Garvin, the Creative Director of the hit video game “Days Gone”, was recently interviewed on David Jaffe’s Youtube channel. When asked about a potential uptick in engagement, Garvin simply told gamers to pay full price for video games that they enjoy. This news comes after a petition demanding a sequel to the first “Days Gone” game was signed by 30,000 people.
“I do have an opinion on something that your audience may find of interest, and it might piss some of them off,” Garvin said. “If you love a game, buy it at f****** full price. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen gamers say ‘yeah, I got that on sale, I got it through PS Plus, whatever’… don’t complain if a game doesn’t get a sequel if it wasn’t supported at launch.”
Days Gone is a survival horror video game developed by Bend Studios and published by Sony for Microsoft Windows and Playstation 4. The game is rated 4.6 stars out of five by 3490 individuals on Google.
