In a recent interview, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors told Reuters the company “is not done yet,” even though the organization made over a dozen acquisitions during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This news comes following the acquisitions of Aspyr, Easybrain, and Gearbox Entertainment in February.
“We are working on more deals than ever across all our verticals, and I still have billions left,” he said in an interview. “Right now we are busy trying to consolidate Europe, Russia, and starting to put our foot on the ground in Canada and North America.”
The Embracer Group has 193 game projects in development as of April 23rd. Wingefors says that the company expects to complete 70 game projects over the next financial year.
Embracer Group is the parent company of several businesses that publish PC, console, and mobile games for the global esports sector. It has an extensive catalog of over 240 owned franchises.
