LG Launching New Gaming Monitor In South Korea

On April 26th, LG Electronics Inc. announced its new 27-inch gaming monitor will launch in South Korea in May. This comes as the company looks to continue to expand the sale of products during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

LG’s new 27-inch UltraGear 4K monitor is named the 27GP950. It is scheduled to hit shelves in the first week of May with a price tag of $980.

The new monitor, which was featured in January during the all-digital Consumer Electronics Show (CES), is already sold in select markets in North and South America. LG hopes that this new product will see plenty of sales as the gaming monitor market continues to grow.

According to a report from industry tracker International Data Corporation (IDC), shipments of gaming PCs grew by 26% year-over-year in 2020. Similarly, gaming monitor shipments increased by 77% from 2019 to 2020.
