On May 25th, car manufacturer Lamborghini announced the return of “The Real Race”, a global esports competition. This will be the second season that Lamborghini has hosted the event.
“The Real Race is a six-month-long event that allows players to live the thrill of true competition through the preparation and participation in races against some of the best sim racers in the world,” said Lamborghini Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini. “We’re proud to host this competition and to offer The Real Race’s winner the opportunity to live a real-life immersive experience in the world of Lamborghini and be provided with the prospect of a career in esports.”
The competition will be broken up into three tournaments held in Europe, America, and Asia. The events will run from June through November.
Each week, players will have to register to participate in the opening qualifier round. From there, the top 40 players will advance to the closed qualifiers that are held each Saturday. After that, the top 20 participants will be entered into “The Real Race”.
