Dark Horse Comics recently unveiled its new gaming and digital division, Dark Horse Games. DHG will look to create unique experiences by developing in-house content based on Dark Horse Comics’ 425 story-driven characters.
DHG is currently entertaining conversations with several top gaming studios to create AAA-licensed titles. It is being reported that these games will be released over the next several years. The organization will work on refreshing and remastering older, less-established titles too.
“We’ve spent the past thirty-five years developing a long list of original, fan-favorite IP with many of the best partners in digital entertainment. Now is the perfect time to expand our vision into gaming,” said Dark Horse Comics founder and President Mike Richardson. “Dark Horse Games gives us exciting new ways to engage with fans of all kinds on a multitude of platforms.”
Dark Horse Comics is an American manga publisher that was founded in 1986. Some of the organization’s most famous titles include 300, Hellboy, and Frank Miller’s Sin City.
