On June 17th, Nazara Technologies announced it would be acquiring a 69.82% stake in Publishme, one of the world’s biggest mobile game marketing agencies. The deal is reportedly worth $2.695 million.
“With this acquisition, we will further expand our international footprint in the freemium segment. Nazara will aim to build local execution capabilities cutting across key growth segments – freemium, gamified learning, and esports,” said Nazara Chief Executive Officer Manish Agarwal.
Nazara Technologies is already available in India as well as other markets like North America and Africa. It is being reported that this move will help expand the company’s presence in the Middle East and Asia.
Nazara Technologies is one of the leading India-based gaming and sports media platforms. The company is known for producing games like the World Cricket Championship series, the Chhota Bheem series, and the Motu Patlu series.
