On August 5th, FTX announced it had signed a sponsorship deal with the startup company Yield Guild games. As a result, the two organizations have created a scholarship program that provides funds to Axie Infinity players in developing countries.
FTX will now have the lifetime naming rights to sponsor 137 Axie Infinity players around the globe. FTX scholarships have already been given to gamers in the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Latin America, and Brazil.
“As fans of both gaming and making a positive impact, we’re excited to partner with Yield Guild Games who have created a truly unique way for new audiences to gain exposure to crypto,” said Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX.
FTX has made several moves to enter the world of gaming recently. This includes partnership deals with major esports organizations like TSM and Riot Games.
