Planetarium recently announced the organization is expecting to raise $41.8 million in a Series B round of funding. This gives that company a valuation of at least $297 million as the business prepares for the final stage of investment negotiations.
Animoca Brands Corp. is expected to lead this upcoming investment round. Samsung Next, which is the investment arm of Samsung Electronics, is also reportedly interested in participating in the funding round.
Planetarium is an NFT-based open-source gaming platform in South Korea. Earlier this year, the organization launched its MMORPG, Nine Chronicles, which has over 2,000 users to date and more than 80,000 people on the waiting list to join the game.
