A new report was recently released by Newzoo and the company’s research partner Apptopia. In this survey, it was revealed that the global mobile gaming market will hit $90.7 billion in value this year, signifying a 4.4% increase in market size.
Overall, Newzoo is saying that the gaming industry will be valued at $175.8 billion in 2021 and $200 billion in 2024. As a result, the market is expected to register a compound annual growth rate of 11% between 2019 and 2024.
The report showed that the iOS platform is expected to generate $41.1 billion in revenue this year, making up 45.3% of the global gaming market. The Google Play store is expected to see revenues hit $28.2 billion while third-party Android app stores will net $21.3 billion.
