Major Middle Eastern Countries Will Be Comprised Of 85M Gamers By 2025

According to research from Niko Partners, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt (the MENA-3 Region) will have a combined 85.8 million gamers by 2025. Additionally, these individuals are expected to generate $3.1 billion in video game revenues by 2025.

“MENA represents a key opportunity for the video game industry,” said Daniel Ahmad, a senior analyst at Niko Partners. “The region has often flown under the radar due to its small game development scene, fragmented markets as well as language and cultural barriers, but it has quickly become a region of importance.”

The report showed that these three countries generated $1.76 billion in video game revenues last year. Between 2021 and 2025, the MENA-3 region will register a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.8%.

Saudi Arabia may be the most successful video game market out of the three aforementioned countries. According to the report, in 2021, Saudi Arabia’s video game market reached $1 billion in value by itself.
