Three Companies Named Official Partners Of 2022 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships

Zwift recently unveiled its partners for the 2022 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships. On February 16th, the organization confirmed that Wahoo, Shimano, and NTT will serve as the event’s partners.

Wahoo will be the official trainer partner of the 2022 UCI Cycling Esports Championships. Meanwhile, Shimano will be the event’s official drivetrain partner while NTT will serve as the official data analytics partner of the world championship event.

“Building on our partnership with the UCI Road World Championships, we are delighted to support the 2022 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships,” said Mike Saturnia, the CEO of Wahoo. “The demands of e-racing at this level require the most accurate and consistent data possible, so it’s only appropriate that all athletes competing in the finals will be riding a Wahoo KICKR, the world’s best-in-class smart trainer. We wish all the finalists the very best of luck and I’m looking forward to seeing who will be the newly crowned UCI World Champions!”

The 2022 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will take place on February 26th. Racers will have to conquer the Knickerbocker route, a challenging course “worthy” of the event. The size of the field, broadcast exposure, race distance, and prize money will be the same for both the Men’s and Women’s races.
