Guildford College Launching Esports Program This Fall

Guildford College recently announced it will be launching an esports program at its Stoke Road campus this coming September. This will see the school offer level 2 and level 3 diplomas focused on esports that will allow students to find success in the fast-growing video game industry.

The Esports Level 3 National Extended Diploma program will be a two-year qualification equivalent to three A levels. Once completed, students will be eligible to progress into higher education or pursue a career within the industry.

“We are really excited to launch an innovative new program at Guildford College which has been designed by the British Esports Association and Pearson,” said Nancy Buckley, the Director of Career Pathways for the Lifestyles faculty at Activate Learning. “Both courses will introduce learners to the rapidly growing industry of Esports and equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to start a successful career within this rewarding and fast-paced industry.”

Guildford College, or the Guildford College of Further and Higher Education (GCFHE), is a higher education institution based in Surrey, England. The school was established in 1939 for students ages 16 or up.
