The University of South Florida, which has one of the top esports programs in the country, held an “Esports Summit,” to bring students, industry leaders, and others all under one roof. Many graduate students in the program see esports as an opportunity for the future and want to create more partnerships on the business side to help make it happen.
“Tampa is definitely on the rise in the gaming industry,” said Chase Crist, a graduate student at USF. “It is the fastest-growing industry in the world. Right now it is a billion-dollar industry. It is a great community to be a part of there’s a lot of future in the industry.”
The future is here, and with programs like these, USF students are getting ahead of the game.
