On February 22nd, the 1,000 Dreams Fund (1DF), announced that the BroadcastHER Academy would be returning this year. This fellowship program aims to provide women with career opportunities within the gaming industry, where they are in front of or behind the camera.

“First and foremost, the BroadcastHER Academy Fellowship Program is intended to build a diverse talent pool for our partners and the industry while providing our participants with unparalleled access to hands-on training that can lead to employment opportunities at the end of the fellowship,” said the founder of the 1,000 Dreams Fund, Christie Garton. “We are also thrilled to be able to connect our Fellows with our incredible partners and their teams to help expand their professional networks.”

BroadcastHER Academy Fellows will be a new addition to the program this year. This initiative aims looks to provide accepted individuals with an opportunity to be a part of a special mentorship panel that features WNBA star Aerial Powers, who is well-known for her love of gaming and serves as the Chair of Diversity & Inclusion for Team Liquid

Applications for the BroadcastHER Academy Fellowship are now officially open. Only ten women will be accepted into this program.
