We now have a launch date for Sony’s upgraded multi-tier version of PS Plus. The service will be introduced in Asia first followed by Japan, the Americas, and then finally Europe. The release dates are as follows:
- Asia – Targeting May 23, 2022
- Japan – Targeting June 1, 2022
- Americas – Targeting June 13, 2022
- Europe – Targeting June 22, 2022
On top of that, Sony has plans to expand its cloud streaming service to several new countries. This is expected to include Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
The subscription service will be broken up into three tiers. PlayStation Plus Essential will be the cheapest package offered at $9.99 a month. PlayStation Plus Extra is expected to cost $12.99 each month. The most expensive plan is PlayStation Plus Premium, which will cost $15.99 monthly.
