Global Gaming Headset Industry Will Be Valued At $3.2B By 2030

A new report was recently released by Market Statsville Group (MSG). This study, entitled Gaming Headset Market by Platform (Multi-platform Gaming Headsets, PC/Mac Gaming Headsets, and Console Gaming Headsets), by Technology (Wired Gaming Headsets and Wireless Gaming Headset), by Region – Global Share and Forecast to 2030, provides an in-depth analysis of the video game headset market between 2021 and 2030. 

Based on the report’s findings, the global gaming headset market was valued at $1.8 billion in 2021. The study also indicated that this industry will grow to $3.2 billion by 2030, meaning the market will register a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.5%.

“Based on technology, the global gaming headset market is segmented into wired gaming headsets and wireless gaming headsets,” the report reads. “In 2021, the wired gaming headsets segment had a majority stake of 58.5% in the gaming headset market as it is less expensive than wireless gaming headsets and has none of the downsides that come from relying on a wireless signal. Wired gaming headsets are usually less expensive than wireless gaming headsets and have none of the downsides of relying on a wireless signal.”

According to the Global Esports Federation, 2020 saw 272 million viewers watch esports events, equalling a total global audience of 496 million people. On top of that, the GEF said that about 1.73 billion people around the globe were aware of esports in 2020.
