Riot Games Hires A Plethora Of Executives For Its Entertainment Division

Riot Games has added to its entertainment studio with some major hires coming from the likes of Netflix, HBO Max, Paramount, and more. The new lineup consists of Maria Egan, who will join the game developer’s entertainment division as Global Head of Music & Events, Kristin Moss as Global Head of Entertainment Marketing, Emily Briggs as Global Head of Entertainment Finance and Strategy, and Ken Basin as Global Head of Business Operations. All four hires are expected to help develop Riot’s movie, TV, and gaming content based on Riot’s IPs.

“The success of Arcane exemplified players’ excitement and appetite for world-building across games, and we’re excited to give them new ways to experience the IP they know and love,” said Shauna Spenley, President of Riot Games Entertainment. “With the addition of Maria Egan, Kristin Moss, Emily Briggs, and Ken Basin, we’ve established a tremendous leadership team and are eager to build a rich slate across film, television, music, consumer products, and more.”

Maria Egan’s new role will see her leading global music content for all gaming, TV series, and films. Kristin Moss will oversee all marketing strategies, creative and integrated campaigns across the entertainment portfolio. Emily Briggs will be tasked to lead strategic planning, monetization, and finance across the entertainment division, while Ken Basin will manage business affairs, operations, and physical production for film and TV.
