The European gaming org OG Esports recently unveiled a strategic partnership with the British company LDN UTD. As a result, LDN UTD will rebrand its VALORANT team to OG LDN UTD. This entity will operate as a joint venture moving forward.
From now on, this team will wear co-branded OG LDN UTD jerseys. Additionally, this partnership will focus on joint events as well as growing the global VALORANT community. Both organizations will provide support for the team’s members including regular boot camps and “other performance services.”
LDN UTD will continue to run the team’s day-to-day operations. The team will be headed up by LDN UTD’s Head of Esports (Ali Rashid) and OG’s Head of Esports (Mike Schwartz). OG LDN UTD will retain LDN UTD’s roster.
OG Esports has said that it will continue to support and operate its own French roster. This team currently competes in VALORANT‘s French Regional League.
“Very rarely do we have a chance to work with another value-driven company and in LDN UTD we have found a perfect match,” said JMR Luna, the CEO of OG Esports. “We love their community-driven initiatives and what they are building, so when we all sat down together and spoke, we became very excited about this adventure together. We think they have done a very good job building and nurturing this project and we hope we can contribute to its success this new season.”
OG LDN UTD is currently competing in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA Stage 2 Challengers series. This event began on May 13th.
