Full Sail University Partners With Special Olympics

Full Sail University recently agreed to a partnership with the United States branch of the Special Olympics. As a result, the two sides will work together to host the first USA Games Unified Esports Invitational tournament.

This tournament will be held at the school’s dedicated esports arena, which is known as the Fortress. This competition series will be made up of both in-person and virtual Rocket League tournaments. Furthermore, both parties have teamed up with ESPN to broadcast the event on ESPN3 as well as the Twitch channels for both Full Sail University and the Special Olympics.

“It is a thrill to provide Special Olympics athletes with the opportunity to participate in an esports event during the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games,” said Joe Dzaluk, the President and CEO of the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. “Partnering with Full Sail University elevates the overall experience for both athletes and spectators. I encourage the community to come out and watch this exciting event and cheer on Special Olympics athletes.”

Full Sail University is a Winter Park, Florida-based higher education technical institution. As of the 2022 academic year, there were over 21,600 students enrolled at the school.
