On May 16th, HyperLive Entertainment announced it had signed a strategic partnership deal with Nova Esports. This agreement will see the two sides establish new headquarters for Nova Esports in Singapore. Moreover, both parties will create a new Singaporean gaming team called Nova SG. This deal will also see Nova and HyperLive create an esports academy in Singapore. However, details about that project have not been revealed at this time.
Overall, both organizations are looking to create an esports hub in Singapore. Additionally, this partnership aims to grow Nova’s presence in the region with plans to expand to other countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
“We are truly excited about the synergistic partnership with Nova Esports,” said Dr. Sean Wong, the CEO of HyperLive. “We have identified esports as a key market that has massive potential for growth in the upcoming years, thus with Nova on board, we are extremely confident that we can achieve incredible breakthroughs in esports.”
