Nintendo Has Sold A Whopping 538 Million Handheld Devices

Nintendo’s latest financial report featured some impressive numbers for the gaming giant. Data shows that Nintendo has sold an impressive 537.8 million handheld consoles, which includes the likes of the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, 3DS, and the Switch, which functions essentially as a hybrid handheld/console but still counts.

Surprisingly, Nintendo handhelds have outsold consoles by a wide margin of nearly 150 million sales.

Nintendo has done well the last fiscal year despite the global chip shortage. Even with the supply-chain issues, the company still broke 107.65 million shipments across the globe, and that number figures to go up when the shortage is finally resolved.
