Ubisoft Launches New Tournament Licensing Platform To Bolster Grassroots Rainbow Six Esports

Ubisoft is looking to “streamline the process” for tournament organizers to host grassroots Rainbow Six Siege events with the launch of its new tournament licensing platform. The platform, hosted on the Rainbow Six website, is designed to make the process of acquiring a license easier and more efficient.

Ubisoft has the goal of keeping these tournaments small, since organizers applying for a Community License must have a total prize pool no larger than $10,000. Total sponsor compensation must also be less than $10,000, and the event must be run non-profit.

The company plans to offer a Custom License for events that don’t fit that criteria, aka “larger scale tournaments,” but that feature is not yet available on the platform.
