Valve Confirms Delays On Steam Deck’s Docking Station

Valve confirmed in a recent blog post that the official docking station for the Steam Deck has been delayed due to parts shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Due to parts shortages and COVID closures at our manufacturing facilities, the official Steam Deck Docking Station is delayed,” reads the post. “We’re working on improving the situation and will share more info when we have it. This has no effect on production schedule and reservation windows for Steam Decks (different parts, different factories).”

Unfortunately, it is not clear at this moment when the company expects the docking station to launch, but luckily these delays won’t impact the Steam Deck itself.
