Amazon Prime Day was recently held on July 12th and 13th. To celebrate this annual sales event, Amazon shared data on the success of Prime Gaming since the platform was launched in 2020.
According to the data that was given to VentureBeat, the number of users that utilize Amazon Prime Gaming has grown by over 120% over the last two years. On top of that, Amazon Prime members claimed over 420 million offers and 80 million free games last year alone.
“The Prime Gaming value to publishers is the awareness our program drives and the lift in engagement they see in their content,” said Josh Dodson, the head of business development and operations at Prime Gaming, in an email interview with VentureBeat. “We help them acquire new users, retain existing players, win back lapsed players, and give access to a highly engaged userbase. We will continue to put players first and work to provide the best games and game content possible. Prime Gaming will continue to build on the portfolio of games and game content we offer and will look to increase the overall value of our offering to players.”
Free games and content from Amazon Prime Gaming were valued at $21,600 per Prime member. This collection was made up of over 100 free games and more than 675 in-game content offers.
