G2 Esports Signs First Bahrani Female Player

Meet Maryam “Mary” Maher, G2 Esports’ newest addition. Maher, from Bahrain, joins G2 Gozen where she will compete in VALORANT alongside some very prominent names: Julia “juliano” Kiran, Michaela “Mimi” Lintrup, Petra “Petra” Stoker, and Anastasiya “Glance” Rival’evna Anisimova.

“At Lenovo (which sponsors G2 Esports), we are proud to be supporting the first ever all-female roster for G2 Esports, all while providing a safe and supportive community for talent based in the region,” said Mohammed Hilili, General Manager of Lenovo Gulf. “We would also like to congratulate Maryam on securing her spot as the first GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council)-based gamer to join the G2 Gozen roster and look forward to witnessing more female participation throughout 2022 and beyond.”

Maher has been showcasing her skills since 2017, uploading footage of herself playing games like VALORANT and Fortnite where she dominated opponents. Her reputation grew within the community as she established herself as one of the very first female esports athletes in the GCC region, even making her Tier 1 debut at just age 16.
