Mattel Names New Global Head Of Digital Gaming

Mattel recently named Mike DeLaet as their new Global Head of Digital Gaming. DeLaet has spent more than two decades in the gaming industry, and his new role will see him responsible for accelerating Mattel’s digital gaming product offering across all major gaming platforms, including licensing, self-publishing, and Web3. He will also oversee certain joint venture partnerships.

“I am inspired by Mattel’s vast opportunity in digital gaming to expand on the high levels of engagement with its world-class brands,” said DeLaet. “I believe Mattel has only scratched the surface of its incredible potential in gaming and am thrilled to lead its next chapter of growth in the space.”

DeLaet previously worked at Scopely, where he was responsible for business development, IP licensing, and platform distribution partnerships. Prior to that, he worked at, and co-founded, Rogue Games where he grew revenue and scale. DeLaet has also had stops at Kabam, Glu Mobile, and Sprint.
