Kinguin, the world’s first digital games marketplace, announced that gaming industry vet David Yarnton will be coming on as the Partner & Chief of Business Development. In this newly-created role, Yarnton will serve as the company’s representative in front of various governments and non-governmental organizations globally, and will act as the main liaison for all things gaming and esports. Yarnton says he plans to uncover new business opportunities to aid in the universal growth of Kinguin.
“Kinguin has seen tremendous growth over the last few years and I am looking forward to helping it continue on that trajectory,” said Yarnton. “As Chairman of UKIE’s Esports Sub-Group and a Board Adviser to BESA, two organizations devoted to growing and developing UK talent and business, I believe Kinguin should be rightfully recognized as one of the global shining stars in esports and video games. I am very pleased to come on-board as a team member of Kinguin and look forward to working alongside Founder, Viktor, and the Kinguin team, in growing the business globally.”
Yarnton has been working in the gaming industry since 1986, when he was Sales and Marketing Director of a company selling 8-bit consoles and Nintendo Game & Watch handhelds. He’s since held executive roles at Gfinity, Nintendo, and UKIE before signing on with Kinguin.
