Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports Hub Coming To Malaysia

Property developer Hatten Land recently announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary (Hatten Edge) had agreed to a partnership with MOONTON Games. This deal will see MOONTON work with Hatten to launch an esports hub in Melaka, Malaysia based around the company’s hit game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

As a result of this partnership, Hatten Land will transform its ElementX mall and hotel into the world’s first-of-its-kind MLBB-themed integrated esports hub. This will include MLBB-themed displays and decor alongside an immersive environment that offers special rewards for those that play Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Beyond that, the two parties will promote Arena X, a 1,200-seat esports arena located in ElementX.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has experienced explosive growth globally with Southeast Asia being its key revenue market since its launch in 2016,” said Collin Tan, the Managing Director of Hatten Land. “Catering to the growing popularity of MLBB, the world’s first-of-its-kind MLBB-themed integrated Esports Hub at ElementX is conceptualized with an array of experiential interactions and immersive environment as well as multi-dimensional offerings that redefine gaming experiences, creating a special bond among MLBB fans and attracting more footfalls and hotel guests to ElementX. Together with MOONTON Games, we share the same commitment in creating a thriving, sustainable Esports and gaming ecosystem in Malaysia and across the region, boosting tourism spending and spurring new growth and opportunities across other business adjacencies.”

Since its inception, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has emerged as one of the most popular video games in the world. According to a press release from MOONTON, MLBB is the number one MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) game in Southeast Asia.
