YouTube Introduces New Head Of Gaming

YouTube recently named former Google executive Leo Olebe as the company’s new global head of gaming. He will replace Ryan Wyatt, who left YouTube to join Polygon Studios earlier this year.

Olebe will be in charge of YouTube’s gaming division which includes gaming-related content, partnerships, and live streams. Once he begins working for YouTube, Olebe will report to Tara Walpert Levy, YouTube’s Vice President of the Americas.

Before stepping into this new position, Olebe most recently served as a managing director for game partnerships at Google where he worked with devs and publishers to build Google Play Store experiences. Prior to that, he spent over five years as a senior global director of game partnerships at Facebook.
