GAMURS Group Acquires Six Esports And Gaming Publications

On September 29th, GAMURS Group announced it had acquired six high-profile online esports/gaming publications from Enthusiast Gaming: Destructoid, Escapist Magazine, PC Invasion, Upcomer, Siliconera, and Operation Sports. According to Enthusiast, this acquisition deal cost about $5 million.

Thanks to this recent series of acquisitions, GAMURS now has a portfolio of ten different digital news publications including Prima Games and Dot Esports. The addition of these aforementioned brands will increase GAMURS’ total audience to roughly 55 million people per month. Moreover, GAMURS is now one of the five best organizations in the United States when it comes to gaming news audience reach.

“As a long-term, avid reader of these publications, I have been following their progress for some time,” said GAMURS’ founder, Riad Chikhani. “This acquisition is not only of strategic significance for the company but given my affinity for the brands, it gives me a lot of satisfaction to bring such well-respected news websites into the GAMURS Group portfolio.”

GAMURS Group is an esports and media entertainment company that was founded in 2016. The organization currently offers publications in a variety of languages including English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish.
