Guild Esports Just Launched A College

Guild Esports PLC recently announced it had teamed up with SCL Education for a four-year partnership deal that will see the two sides create Guild College. This program will offer level-two and level-three diplomas covering the topic of esports. As part of this agreement, Guild Esports will receive a four-figure sum of money from SCL for every student enrolled in these courses.

“Our pioneering course leverages Guild’s position as one of Europe’s leading team organizations and will furnish learners with the opportunity to obtain a level-two diploma to support their career ambitions in a fast-growing industry worth more than $1.1 billion,” said Guild CEO Kal Hourd. “By getting involved in grassroots esports development in the UK, Guild will also support a pipeline of talent both in terms of the star players of tomorrow and future esports business leaders.”

Enrollment for these courses has already begun, with students expected to be welcomed into the program by September 2023 at the earliest. According to Proactive Investors, the first intake will bring in 125 students.
