Unleashed Brands is on a roll. The umbrella company recently purchased the youth esports franchise XP League, marking Unleashed’s fifth acquisition over the last nine months. The terms of the agreement have not yet been released.
XP League franchises youth esports teams while offering sessions and programs to kids. It also provides coaching to elementary, middle school, and high school students. The cost to start an XP League franchise ranges from $32,800 to $68,660.
“Being a part of Unleashed Brands allows us access to an infrastructure built specifically for supporting youth brands, and I think having that resource and having access to the knowledge base there is really fortunate for us,” said Jay Melamed, the Co-Founder of XP League. “There’s nothing else like this in the youth brands space. I think the sky is the limit.”
XP League will now have access to Unleashed Brands’ franchise development, marketing teams, and stacked portfolio which includes several youth organizations that will help them expand their reach to more kids.
