On July 18th, X1 Esports and Entertainment announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire the influencer management firm Tyrus, LLC for approximately $350,000. The goal of this acquisition is to help X1 expand its presence amongst Gen Zers while also providing the company with additional revenue streams.
“The Tyrus platform expertly bridges the gap between international brands and the gaming ecosystem,” said Mark Elfenbein, CEO of X1. “The addition of the Company to our portfolio will help to establish X1 as an advertising sales organization with access to some of the most sought-after content creators in the video games category.”
Tyrus Talent Services was founded in 2017. The organization specializes in the management of content creators that utilize TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, and a host of other social media channels.
X1 Esports is a Vancouver, Canada-based company that was founded in 2020. the organization currently trades stock on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol “XONE”. As of July 19th, 2022, one share of stock in the company is worth $0.35.
