The Global Gaming Market In 2021 And 2022

According to a recent report from Statista, the global network of gamers clocked in at 3.24 billion people in 2021. 715 million gamers came from Europe. The United Kingdom made up the largest portion of this market with 46.7 million gamers.

Meanwhile, the global gaming market will reportedly hit a value of $268.8 billion by 2025. This will be a significant increase from $178 billion in 2021.

Additionally, Statista is reporting that the global esports audience will be made up of 532 million by the end of this year. By the end of 2022, the world will be made up of 261.2 million esports fans as well as 270.9 million casual esports fans. Since the global esports audience will reach 640.8 million by the end of 2025, this sector will register a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) higher than 8%.

“Online gameplay has become an escape for both player and watcher,” said David Winter of PartyCasino. “We are seeing a big shift in the way that gamers are creating and consuming content.
