Research & Markets recently published a report providing an analysis of the global cloud gaming market from now until 2030. Based on this survey, the global cloud gaming market will be worth $20.94 billion by 2030, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 45.8% from now until then.
The APAC (Asia-Pacific) region made up the largest part of the market at more than 40%. This is due, in part, to the rising adoption of smartphone gaming.
Meanwhile, the casual gaming sector is expected to experience the fastest growth during this eight-year-long forecast period. This part of the industry will register a CAGR of over 45%.
“As cloud storage has gained a more secure position over onsite storage, this has affected the gaming industry,” the report reads. “Through cloud gaming services, gamers can access high-quality interactive games remotely without bearing the additional cost of expensive computer systems. The growing number of gamers globally has directed affected the market.”
